PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Worksite Monitors play a critical role in overseeing and documenting participants’ internship experiences during the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). They are responsible for traveling to various worksites to conduct regular visits, ensuring compliance with program guidelines, and addressing any concerns. Worksite Monitors maintain clear and consistent communication with participants, worksite supervisors, and program staff to provide guidance and support. Additionally, they are responsible for accurate and timely documentation of participant attendance, performance, and any incidents, ensuring a well-documented and structured program experience.
ORGANIZATIONAL ROLE:
Supervisor: Program Director
Supervises: Participants between the age of 16-24
Hours: 20 hours a week March thru June 2025; 35 hours a week and July thru August 2025
Compensation: $23- $25 per hour based on experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support any ongoing efforts to collect program-required documents at their assigned worksites
- prioritize assignments to meet weekly goals
- The candidate must have a proven track record in customer service
- Travel within the 5 boroughs to conduct site visits
- Submit weekly detailed Monitoring logs in YEPS.
- Collect timesheets every week and ensure completion with accuracy
- Cooperate and maintain a working relationship with the assigned worksite supervisors
- Communicate with the Program Director regarding any conflicts with worksite assignments
- Attend all related meetings, trainings, and supervisions as required
- Effective communications skills, both oral and written form;
- Excellent organizational skills essential to maintain accurate records;
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
- Interact professionally with participants, staff, clients and community partners in a professional manner;
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet common goals;
- Sensitivity and awareness to different cultures
- Always conduct himself/herself as a professional as per RTS policy on conduct, appearance and adherence to the overall organizational policy
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite computer knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration, social services, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of public benefit programs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting systems.
- Experience in crisis intervention and support.
- Work takes place in one or more school buildings, which may require climbing stairs.
- Typical job hours are 9 am -5 pm, Monday - Friday, and events will take place during occasional nights and weekends.
- Travel via public transportation or car may be required throughout NYC
- Implements consistent methods in child and youth development that extend to comprehensive family support, ensuring a systematic approach is maintained throughout the program.
