Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Pre-Employment Processes
- Manage and process background checks, drug screens, and DOT physicals to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Oversee Clearinghouse reporting and monitoring for CDL drivers.
- Conduct I-9 verification and E-Verify to ensure employment eligibility compliance.
- Track and maintain accurate records of pre-employment screenings and ensure timely completion.
Recruiting & Sourcing Support
- Assist with entry-level recruiting, including screening candidates and coordinating interviews.
- Proactively source and engage candidates through job boards, social media, and community outreach.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for high-volume and specialized roles.
- Support hiring managers with scheduling interviews and managing candidate communications.
Onboarding & Administrative Support
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding process by ensuring new hires complete all necessary documentation and training requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and HRIS.
- Partner with HR and hiring managers to improve the candidate experience.
- Assist with new hire orientation and compliance training as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition experience (preferably in a high-volume or transportation-related industry).
- Strong knowledge of background screening, drug testing, DOT physicals, and Clearinghouse reporting.
- Experience with I-9 verification and E-Verify compliance.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in transportation, construction, or safety-related industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with state and federal employment regulations.
- Experience in high-volume recruiting and sourcing.
Additional Information:
- This role requires occasional travel for hiring events, job fairs, or onboarding sessions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
