Sign Installer (Experienced)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sign Installer is responsible for installing signs on state highways and other roadways. This role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a sign installation control crew. Key responsibilities include setting up and maintaining safe work zones as needed, ensuring all installations meet required standards and regulations. The Sign Installer will also transport materials and equipment to job sites, adhering to all safety rules and company policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Drive sign installation vehicle with trailer to and from project sites and on work sites.
• Assemble and install posts using a jackhammer.
• Read and interpret blueprints for accurate sign placement.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the sign shop team to support sign overlay projects.
• Assist in preparing and assembling sign components, including vinyl graphics and lettering.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of sign overlay work by meticulously adhering to design specifications.
• Operate the squeeze roll machine.
• Mount, service, and maintain signs in various settings, including commercial and industrial locations.
• Prepare poles, buildings, billboards, and other structures for sign installations.
• Maintain a well-organized and clean workspace within the sign shop area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a valid driver's license and meet federal DOT requirements
• Previous experience in sign installation or similar trade.
• Certification from ATSSA as Worksite Traffic Technician or Supervisor preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
