CTE (Career and Technical Education) Business Liaison - Part-Time Position

Overview:

We are searching for a well-spoken liaison to manage our stakeholder relations as they work annually to support, evaluate, and improve offerings and implementation of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs throughout RCPS (Roanoke City Public Schools). The Liaison should seek to establish mutually beneficial, encouraging relationships with all members, employers, and stakeholders. The Liaison will serve as a reliable contact point with whom stakeholders can communicate issues and concerns. To ensure success as a Liaison he/she should always be in tune with the RCP Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the CTE Director to plan meetings, agendas, logistics and communicate this information to all members of the CTE Foundation Board, CTE Advisory Council and the Superintendent's Business Advisory Council.
• Attend all meetings, take minutes, and distribute said minutes in a timely manner.
• Maintain records for three years including all materials distributed and all information related to the annual CTE Extravaganza fundraiser.
• Organize all materials, both electronically and hard copy, to present to the Superintendent and Executive Staff as required.
• Take the lead in organizing the CTE Foundation Annual fundraiser.

Requirements:

• Minimum of ten years in business, communications, community service or education.
• Solid foundation in Roberts Rules of Order.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible, amicable, and community-oriented approach to education
• Adherence to designated RCPS procedural guidelines.

Pay: $35 per hour, with a maximum of 24 hours per week
