GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs responsible service work planning and supervising the operations and delivery of concessions services for Splash Valley at Green Ridge Recreation Center. Accountable for all cash flow and inventory control, providing excellent customer service, providing timely, complete and accurate paperwork. Supervision is exercised over employees assigned to the Concessions Building. Does related work as required.
Shift Hours and/or Days Worked: Thursday-Sunday: 9:30am - 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 7:30pm
Hours required for this position: 25-30 hours per week
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Delivers uncompromising customer service responding immediately to customer requests, inquiries, and concerns
- Ensures that all State and local Health Department Standards are met
- Helps to recruit, train, schedule, and supervise all Concessions Staff
- Reviews, orders and controls all inventory
- Trains staff on food handling procedures and safety guidelines
- Handles point of sale transactions according to County policies and procedures
- Cooks food and uses the point of sale system to process orders as needed
- Cleans all areas on an hourly basis as needed
- Works directly with the public in person having good communication skills in a warm and friendly manner
- Provides information regarding food offered and assists customers, sometimes dealing with difficult situations or people
- Assists with monitoring revenue and managing expenses
- Reports any equipment or food handling issues to the Center Manager in a timely manner
- Performs related administrative work including data entry and record keeping
- Work is performed under general supervision, often using independent judgment to resolve situations
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
Required: Some customer service experience (could be in a variety of settings)
Preferred: One or more years of customer service, supervisory, and food and beverage experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required: CPR, First Aid, and AED certified. ServSafe certificate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong ability to work with public in person
- Ability to process customer orders and food requests
- Good knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written direction and work procedures
- Ability to take initiative as well as follow to completion
- Ability to assign work tasks and supervise others
- Ability to use computer and process food orders
Additional Requirements
Successful applicant must not have been convicted of any criminal offenses and will undergo a background investigation to determine suitability for the position. May be subject to DMV driving record review as required by amount of work related driving, specified by support responsibilities. Must also be able to perform the job as described in the Physical and Environmental Demands section of this job description.
