What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales Representative position at Roanoke Valley Wine Company?
Roanoke Valley Wine Company is a family-owned East Coast company, established in 1994, that is supportive of its employees and passionate about its fine wine, beer and cider portfolio. We are continuing to grow the business in the Tidewater VA market and are looking for eager, positive and methodical sales consultants who want the opportunity to have fun, make money and grow with our company.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to :
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with buyers to increase sales and capture new business
- Establish and maintain a regular and predictable schedule of calling on both on-premise and off-premise customers, to include in-person sales calls, but also a robust email and text message campaign
- Develop a keen knowledge of a rather broad based portfolio of wines, beers, ciders and sakes from all over the world
- Increase wine knowledge through meeting with suppliers / winemakers
- Educate and increase sales with customers through superior knowledge of our portfolio, high quality presentations, consistent and excellent customer service
- Conduct events when needed
- Support supplier market visits, events and promotions
