Facilities Director
Under the general direction of the Fire Chief, the Facilities Director is responsible for directing the routine and emergency maintenance of Authority fixed facility assets, including fire stations and housing properties owned by the Authority. Performs semi-skilled and skilled technical, repair and diagnosis using building automation and maintenance work on all Authority facilities. Scope of work includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, and other building maintenance and equipment repair work. Performs inspections, diagnoses problems, and makes appropriate repairs or coordinates repairs with outside contractors. Promotes the Authoritys mission and value statements. Takes an active role in improving overall organizational performance, especially as it relates to addressing opportunities for improvement in the areas of facility maintenance, facility fixed equipment, and facility grounds maintenance
Location : Roaring Fork Fire Rescue Authority, Carbondale CO
Work Schedule : 5-8 hr shift , or 4-10 hr. shift with a set schedule, plus the possibility of evening, weekend, and holiday work.

Minimum Qualifications :
The candidate must have the following minimum qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years of vocational-technical school
Four (4) years of experience in the construction trades or related field, including two years experience in each of the following : repair and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems; boilers, hydraulics, chillers, and generators; and automated building systems. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Be 18 years of age or older
Possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record
Required to obtain International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) Facilities Manager Professional within three years of hire
Preferred Certifications
Bachelors degree in facilities maintenance, building construction, safety or industrial engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Candidates who are currently enrolled in a program(s) to achieve these minimums or higher are encouraged to apply.
The Fire Chief may establish an eligibility list of qualified candidates. Candidates who are placed on the eligibility list will be notified of such. Eligibility lists are valid for up to 6 months, however, the Fire Chief reserves the right to re-test and establish a new list at any time.
