What you'll be doing

Job Purpose

As a Full Stack Web Developer, you'll have responsibility for the experience our customers have through our website and user portal. The job will require an understanding of all aspects of website development.

This position has flexibility to be hybrid or fully remote (depending on employee’s location), with occasional travel to our office to collaborate with the team once per quarter.

A Typical Day / Job Responsibilities

· Analyze, build, troubleshoot, debug, and maintain websites within the Laravel framework.

· Help architect new features and reimagine ways existing ones can be improved.

· Provide test coverage for new and legacy code via unit and integration tests.

· Understand the business model and look for opportunities to simplify product & technical design.

· Assist Senior Developers in high-level architectural planning and implementation.

· Collaborate with the business stakeholders to proactively design systems and processes that support end users.

· Improve coding standards, deployment infrastructure, performance, testing, and code quality.

· Stay up to date on trends, technologies, and eCommerce best practices.

· Act as a professional representative of Roastar, Inc. at all times.

· Follow all Company policies, rules, and regulations.

· Follow all Company safety policies and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

· Participate in Scrum ceremonies, show accountability for completing assigned tickets/projects through daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retros. Staying engaged in company & marketing/eCommerce related issues.

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience

· 3-5 years professionally as a web developer or related field.

· Strong understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.

· Experience with object-oriented programming languages (PHP).

· Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as Nuxt / Vue.js.

· Experience working with utility-first CSS frameworks (Bootstrap/Tailwind).

· Experience with MySQL, including database design and optimization.

· Experience with Git version control and repository management

· Experience integrating with payment platforms like Braintree/Stripe.

· Experience developing mobile first, responsive designs.

· Experience with writing Unit / Integration tests.

· Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs.

· Strong debugging skills.

· Understand the benefits of SEO and the development skills to support SEO.

· Experience turning ideas and mockups into well-executed code.

· Actively seeks opportunities to learn and grow in the web development field.

· Experience with DevOps tools.

· Experience in working remotely / with a fully remote team.

· Experience working within an Agile environment.
