We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee our steel fabrication and structural erection business unit to build on the success of Smith Ironworks. The GM is responsible for the overall management of the business unit, including production, operations, sales, project management, and customer relations. This individual will play a key role in driving the profitable growth and success of the business.
- Direct management and leadership of all personnel in the fabrication and welding areas.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase productivity
- Responsible for enforcement of the Company’s Safety Plan and for safe work practices
- Forecasts sales, drive growth and profitability
- Oversee production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
- Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to expand the customer base and increase revenue
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor and control operating costs and expenses
- Responsible for enforcement of the Company’s Safety Plan and for safe work practices
REQUIRES:
- 5 years of experience in steel fabrication and erection business.
- Have a current California State Contractors Board C51 license or be willing to test to be qualified as RME on Smith Ironworks license.
