Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the client. This role involves a variety of caregiving tasks aimed at promoting independence and well-being.
This role would include room and board (including utilities) and a weekly salary.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary needs.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting when necessary.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Assist with medication management and reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
- Document daily activities, changes in client condition, and any concerns to report to family members or healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with other caregivers and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client needs.
All candidates will be required to submit a background check and drug screen.
