The Electrical Helper will work on construction sites, providing support in both commercial and industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist electricians in the installation and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Help in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Support the installation of low voltage systems as directed.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of electrical issues under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site.
- Follow all safety protocols, including those outlined by the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to electrical work.
Requirements
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work.
- Basic knowledge of voltmeters and their use in testing electrical systems.
- Understanding of low voltage applications is preferred.
- Experience or coursework related to industrial or commercial electrician roles is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics is beneficial.
- Must be able to work effectively on a construction site, adhering to safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
