Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support throughout their vehicle maintenance experience. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate services, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance will be crucial in building trust and rapport with our clientele.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing their inquiries regarding vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Perform service writing duties by documenting customer concerns and service recommendations accurately.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure a clear understanding of the required services and repairs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services such as oil changes, shocks and struts replacement, alignments, and other vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area to enhance the customer experience.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive service advising or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, including oil changes, shocks struts, alignments, and automotive diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to build relationships with clients.
- Experience in collaboration sales techniques to effectively upsell services.
- Proficiency in service writing and documentation processes is a plus.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
