Job Summary
Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests to ensure equipment performs to specifications and modify it for proper operation.
- Maintain equipment according to specifications.
- Disassemble or dismantle equipment.
- Be punctual and answer requests and concerns about product and service.
- Plan and facilitate installation and repair of new or refurbished machinery.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and red tag equipment deemed unsafe.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work with mechanical and electrical components and understand how they interact.
- Understand why a part failed and how to replace or repair it.
- Have a thorough understanding of various equipment and systems.
- Develop excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Apply strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling are required.
- Lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to inspect and modify large and detailed portions of equipment.
- Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, service, and perform planned maintenance on equipment and drive a vehicle.
