Well known NY tax firm has an immediate opening for a temporary attorney experienced Tax or Commercial litigation for their Midtown Manhattan office. Candidates should have 3 years of commercial litigation experience. Must be experienced with motions, depositions, discovery, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities and Skills :
- JD from accredited school and NY Bar Admission
- Tax or Complex Business Dispute Litigation experience required
- Conduct legal research on tax law, procedural rules, and relevant case law.
- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and briefs for court filings
- Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategy.
- Prepare for and support depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
- Organize and review evidence.
- Manage document review and discovery, including coordinating and supporting litigation team.
- Assist in cite checking and proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy.
