- Our tax team focuses on all aspects of tax reporting including enhancing productivity and efficiency of core compliance through process and technology, monitoring tax risk and opportunities across all tax disciplines, engaging and educating Finance and the broader organization regarding tax considerations, and prioritizing team resources to support key work streams
- As a Sales Tax Manager, you will be responsible for assisting on various aspects of the sales and use tax function
- This role primarily supports the sales tax item taxability and research processes which includes researching and updating item taxability decisions in our tax systems, preparing memos documenting tax conclusions, and analyzing the sales and use tax implications of business initiatives
- As a Sales Tax Manager, you will work closely with business partners to collect and analyze data; assist with the preparation, documentation and review of tax workpapers and filings; support our tax accounting and forecasting processes; and engage with governmental agents, external advisors, and financial statement auditors
- You will also research and analyze technical tax issues and support the team with tax audit matters
- In this role, you will leverage your analytical expertise and curiosity as you evaluate the tax implications of Target's business operations
- You will leverage your tax expertise, critical thinking, problem solving, and business operational knowledge while working on a wide range of strategic priorities
