Accountant III

Salary: $33.00 to $38.00 hourly

Description

We are offering a temporary employment opportunity for an Accountant III in Princeton, New Jersey. This role plays a significant part in our accounting sector, focusing on data analysis and the implementation of our new ERP system. The successful candidate will be involved in analyzing, organizing, and interpreting data, ensuring the seamless integration between our accounting processes and the ERP platform.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data to be migrated to the new ERP system through meticulous validation.
• Carry out data cleansing, mapping, and validation tasks to ensure proper alignment between the accounting systems and the ERP platform.
• Analyze financial data connected to intercompany activity, identifying relationships and balances.
• Provide ongoing ad hoc support for various initiatives in preparation for the ERP implementation.
• Take on accounting tasks as required to support incremental accounting activities during transition periods.
• Assist with month-end closing activities when necessary.
• Lead special projects or other related duties as assigned.
• Use advanced communication skills to report on progress and any issues encountered.
• Utilize skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to efficiently manage and present data.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax requirements.
• Apply accounting and mathematical principles in work activities.
• Use your knowledge of budget processes for the development, maintenance, and analysis of budgets.
• Compare budgeted costs to actual costs through the preparation of periodic reports.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Experience with marketing and planning strategies
• Knowledge of standard accounting procedures and budget processes
• Familiarity with 'About Time' software
• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks
• Understanding of financial regulations and their implementation
• Proficiency in preparing financial statements
• Experience in expense and financial reporting
• Skilled in bookkeeping functions
• Understanding of tax laws and company policies
• Ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Experience in cost analysis
• Ability to lead special projects
