We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in the housing association industry, located in EMMAUS, Pennsylvania, United States. As an Accountant, you will be the primary accounting liaison to the organization's accounting department, in charge of all aspects of development project accounting, including the initial setup and reconciliation of the development general ledger accounts and the oversight of development project invoicing and payables. Responsibilities:• Assisting with routine general ledger close and account reconciliation functions when necessary• Coordinating with project managers and escrow to perform accurate journal entries for all acquisition, construction, and permanent loan closings• Overseeing the accounts payable process for development projects, ensuring payment requests have proper authorization, coding, documentation, and accuracy• Preparing and/or reviewing development funding draw requests in collaboration with the Business Development Officer and property managers• Providing budgeted-to-actual reports for Housing Development and Board and tracking budgeted-to-actual developer fees• Responding to audit, limited partner, bank, trust company, and other external inquiries, providing a variety of information and assistance regarding budget balances, accounting transactions, and related information• Ensuring funding receipts are deposited and/or transferred as needed to meet the payment obligations for all projects• Working with auditors to prepare cost certifications for newly constructed and rehabilitated housing projects• Reviewing and analyzing capitalized costs in preparation for closings and audits• Reporting cash flow for all development project sources and reconciling development project receivables• Receiving and logging tenant rental payments for Master Lease Tenants, creating and facilitating notices to Master Lease tenants if payments are delinquent.
