Accounting Assistant

Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly

Description

Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Assistant in Clermont, Florida area. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for performing bookkeeping duties, adjusting journal entries, bank reconciliations, and assisting in various tax preparation including Form 1099. We offer a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Execution of bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Desktop.
• In depth knowledge of the bank reconciliation section in QuickBooks Desktop.
• Proficient in journal entries, debits, and credits.
• Performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Regular updating of ledger and monthly journal entries.
• Posting and preparation of journal entries.
• Preparation of Form 1099 for the annual tax period.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Expertise in QuickBooks Desktop
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrable knowledge of Accounting Functions including debits and credits
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Experience in handling Form 1099
• Understanding of Federal Taxes
• Familiarity with Annual Tax procedures
• Ability to make Adjusting Journal Entries
• Experience with Journal Entry Preparation
• Knowledge of Ledger Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Month-end Journal Entries
• Experience in Monthly Journal Entries
• Ability to Post Journal Entries
• Experience in Prepare Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Bank Account Reconciliation
