Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Support financial reporting by gathering and organizing data for internal and external reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
- Assist with audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely employee compensation in compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Stay up to date with accounting principles and company policies to ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
- Utilize accounting software and financial systems efficiently; must be technologically savvy and comfortable working with ERP systems, spreadsheets, and automation tools.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
- Technologically savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new financial systems and tools.
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
