We are in the process of recruiting an Accounting Clerk to be a part of our team located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The primary function of this position is to manage customer payments, keep customer records accurate, and handle customer queries. Additionally, the role involves monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions. Responsibilities:• Accurately and efficiently processing customer payments through various modes such as bank transfers, checks, and credit card transactions.• Ensuring all accounts and incoming payments are handled in accordance with our financial policies and procedures.• Verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data as part of everyday financial transactions.• Preparing bank deposits and maintaining backup files for research and reference purposes.• Checking figures, postings, and documents for accuracy, mathematical correctness, and proper coding.• Assisting in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and processing daily invoices.• Sorting and delivering department mail on a daily basis.• Providing support for other general accounting functions, including accounts payable.• Performing additional administrative functions within the department as needed.• Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and QuickBooks.
