We are providing a long term contract employment opportunity in the logistics industry, based in Collierville, Tennessee, for an Accounting Clerk. In this role, you will primarily focus on reconciling bank checks using internal software, maintaining vigilance for fraudulent activities, and performing light payroll functions. Responsibilities:• Ensuring accurate reconciliation of bank checks against internal systems.• Employing meticulous attention to detail to identify potential fraudulent checks.• Overseeing the decision-making process for cashing checks, using access to various banking platforms.• Identifying and logging cases of overpayments to employees.• Collaborating with the Processing team to initiate overpayment letters.• Managing overpayment checks in our case management system, including coding checks for deposit.• Performing duties within the off-cycle checkroom.• Supporting other light payroll functions as needed.
