Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Salary: $125000.00 to $140000.00 yearly

Description

We are in the search for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. This role is primarily centered around the smooth running of our accounting operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing key accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Collaborate closely with Corporate to streamline and accelerate the close process.
• Supervise job-cost review procedures to ensure proper revenue accounting and cost allocation, with emphasis on complex projects.
• Provide detailed balance sheet and income statement variance analysis for internal management and parent company reporting.
• Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany profit in inventory for consolidation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities, managing information requests and ensuring a smooth audit process.
• Oversee customer audits, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and accurate financial representation.
• Establish and maintain a SOX-compliant control environment, aligning with internal controls and industry best practices.
• Assist with implementing new accounting standards, offering guidance on procedures and ensuring compliance.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic financial decisions and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for managing financial data.
• Demonstrable experience in Auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Must be able to handle Billing Functions efficiently, including invoicing and tracking payments.
• Responsible for Monthly Financial Reporting to provide accurate and timely financial updates.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures to ensure all financial data is recorded correctly.
• Familiarity with the percentage (%) of completion method, particularly in relation to long-term projects.
• Must understand WIP - Work In Progress processes to effectively track and manage ongoing projects.
