Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic guidance to improve processes. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior leadership.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
- Work closely with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership experience is critical – demonstrated success in managing and developing accounting teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but candidates with extensive relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
