We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor accounts, and performing financial reconciliations to support the smooth operation of the accounts payable function. Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate allocation to the appropriate accounts and cost centers.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies while maintaining accurate billing and payment records.
- Manage vendor payments in accordance with company policies and established timelines.
- Reconcile company credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation for financial accuracy.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records to support audits and month-end financial reconciliations.
- Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues efficiently.
- Complete vendor credit applications and maintain all required documentation, including W-9s and subcontracts.
- Provide accurate financial data and reports to support internal teams as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and internal company policies.
- Assist with month-end closing activities to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related field
- Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial documents and resolve discrepancies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with vendors and internal teams
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience in the construction industry and AIA Billing a plus!
