Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager
Location: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week, fully onsite for first 90 days)
Compensation: $100K base bonus benefits
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to lead and optimize our AR function. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who can manage a team, drive process improvements, and ensure strong credit control while maintaining key customer relationships. The right candidate will take full ownership of AR operations, providing strategic oversight while staying hands-on when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Manage the AR Function – Oversee a team of 3-4
- Process & System Oversight – Drive process improvements, including developing SOPs for standardization.
- Collections & Credit Control – Own the AR process, ensuring collections stay on track, pushing back on overdue customers when necessary, and preventing aging receivables.
- Cash Forecasting & Reporting – Maintain AR reports, manage tracking sheets, and improve cash forecasting for better financial planning.
- Customer & Business Line Relationships – Work across five business lines, building relationships with key customers and ensuring prompt responses to inquiries.
- Operational Excellence – Identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and work with consultants to implement best practices.
- Software & Tools – Utilize Excel (vlookup, xlookup, pivot tables) and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, collections, and credit control
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team
- Hands-on mentality – willing to roll up your sleeves while also delegating effectively
- Strong relationship-building skills across multiple business lines
- Experience in cash forecasting, reporting, and process improvements
- Excel proficiency (vlookup, xlookup, pivot tables); Power BI experience is a plus
- Prior experience working with portal customers is beneficial
- Ability to take ownership of the function and escalate issues only when necessary
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive operational improvements
