We are offering a temporary to permanent opportunity for an Android/Java Programmer in the healthcare and social assistance sector. The selected candidate will be based in Clearwater, Florida. Focused on creating and maintaining applications for our custom-designed equipment, this role involves direct hardware integration and an in-depth understanding of Android app structure and deployment.
FULLY ONSITE ROLE IN CLEARWATER, FL LOCATION. MUST HAVE PROFESSIONAL ANDROID APPLICATION EXPERIENCE OF AT LEAST 3 YEARS.
Responsibilities:
Develop new features for current and next-generation Android units.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with custom electronics.
Debug existing applications and improve stability and performance.
Build new applications for future hardware platforms.
Facilitate communication with hardware via USB from Android apps.
Support outbound communication from devices to our cloud system using HTTP and WebSockets.
Utilize Android SDK and Java to create efficient applications.
Work with Android Studio to develop and debug applications.
Implement CSS for effective UI/UX design.
Integrate hardware platforms for optimal functionality.
Requirements
Proficiency in Android Development, with a deep understanding of the Android SDK and Android Studio.
Strong knowledge of Java programming language.
Expertise in CSS for effective interface design.
Familiarity with hardware integrations, with a focus on healthcare-specific devices.
Understanding and experience with various hardware platforms.
Ability to work with USB interfaces and related hardware.
Prior experience in Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance sectors would be beneficial.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including healthcare professionals and other developers.
Problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Android development and hardware integration.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
