In this role, you will be tasked with handling, overseeing and directing the transaction processing for AR/AP groups, reporting to the Controller to ensure smooth operations and meeting department objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of customer credit applications with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
- Utilize reporting tools to manage and maintain performance standards
- Collaborate with other divisional managers to improve processes and efficiency
- Manage invoicing and payable queues to ensure all invoices and payables are processed within the context of monthly/weekly/annual deadlines
- Resolve and troubleshoot issues within the department as needed
- Ensure that transactions are processed timely in the Company’s ERP system
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team
- Maintain accurate customer credit records
- Review and reconcile A/P Recon monthly to identify process issues and resolve variances
- Utilize software to monitor timeliness of transactions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Logistics industry
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
- Demonstrable experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
- Proven track record in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
