What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate General Counsel position at Robert Half?
We are seeking an Associate General Counsel for a company that sits about 40 minutes east outside of Columbus.
This is a direct hire position
This position can be hybrid, but WILL REQUIRE IN OFFICE TIME 2-3 days per week.
Essential Duties and Job Functions
Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and other legal documents typical of a large global industrial distributor, including sales agreements, supply agreements, distribution agreements, technology licenses, SaaS agreements, consulting agreements, and various vendor services agreements.
- Support business clients globally in negotiating price, deliverables, services and products scope, warranty, and other commercial terms.
- Provide rapid, practical, business-oriented advice directly to clients on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, liability risks, regulatory compliance, and other legal matters.
- Play a key role in the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, forms, and standard template language.
- Work with business development team and other departments to conduct due diligence and post-acquisition integration efforts in strategic transactions as needed.
- Support other lawyers in the Legal Department on company transactions and other matters as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from a nationally recognized law school.
- Admitted to practice
- At least 4 years in a law firm and/or in-house advising on, drafting, and negotiating domestic and international commercial agreements, including significant experience with transactions involving global industrial manufacturing or distribution.
- Ability to manage and serve a wide range of business clients by recognizing and responding quickly and pragmatically to urgent situations and demanding clients.
- Experience in regulatory compliance matters common with commercial transactions preferred, including working knowledge of international trade and/or government contracting regulations.
Salary : $215,000 - $225,000
