Remote attorney opportunity! An exciting law firm with attorneys around the country is looking for an attorney to join the firm. This boutique firm handles high-exposure sex abuse cases (Boy Scout cases, cases against different churches) including in NY & PA where the statutes were extended. The firm also handles the defense of high-value PI, employment law, and ADA matters.Responsibilities for Attorney: Reporting to lead attorneys on cases that are worked in teams. This attorney will be doing mostly defense work, they represent a few large public entities. An employment law background would be ideal, there is lots of 1987 litigation here. Document review, drafting discovery responses.Motion drafting, legal research, memo drafting. Court appearances, depositions, and trial attendance and participation are all available!Lots of variety, so even within the defense practice there are partners with entertainment, copyright, intellectual property work. Attorneys will have opportunities to work on a huge variety of matters. No Billable Hour Req. but the firm does track time, including for the plaintiff work. These are usually very generous. There are annual reviews in December. Medical, dental, and vision are covered 100% for the employee, dependents at employee cost. Kick in 1st of the month after 30 days of employment. 2 weeks of PTO, which grows to a month after 4 years.8 sick days.9 holidays – the firm usually closes (unless there’s a January trial) for the week between Christmas and January, which gives people time off without needing to take time off. 401k w/ 3% match regardless of employee contribution, vests over 5 years.
