Responsibilities
- Instruct and oversee fellow A&A staff throughout engagements.
- Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions.
- Prepare and or review financial statements.
- Complete general audit procedures including coordination of audit closing communications, drafting of client correspondence and resolving open items, etc.
- Research technical issues using online tools.
- Review work completed by staff and make recommendations regarding preparation and accuracy.
- Assist managers and partners in running client engagements from start to finish.
- Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing and meeting deadlines.
- Work closely with partners, directors, senior managers, managers, senior associates and associates on client management, professional development and business development activities.
- Assist with resolving more complex issues.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on audit projects.
- Assess performance of staff for engagement reviews.
- Attend professional development and continuing education sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with a major in accounting.
- CPA certification or working towards certification required highly preferred
- Experience in an Assurance department of a CPA firm.
- Thorough understanding of accounting standards and common audit procedures and techniques.
- Technical knowledge sufficient to supervise others.
Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
