The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish and have experience in medical office administration. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Reception & Scheduling:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring all demographic and insurance information is accurate.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Handle incoming calls, provide information, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Insurance & Billing:
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations or referrals.
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
- Medical Records & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Bilingual Communication:
- Provide interpretation services for Spanish-speaking patients during phone calls, check-ins, and appointments.
- Translate documents and patient instructions as needed.
- Administrative Support:
- Manage office supplies and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Proven experience in Administrative Assistance
- Proficiency in using a Multi-Line Phone System
- Experience in providing high-quality Concierge Services
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Ability to perform Data Entry tasks efficiently
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills for effective communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word
- Experience in Organizing Files and maintaining a tidy workspace
- Fluency in the Spanish Language is a plus
