We are seeking a meticulous and proficient Bookkeeper to join our team. Based in New York, New York, the role encompasses comprehensive bookkeeping tasks within our dynamic industry. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for handling customer applications, managing accurate customer records, resolving customer inquiries, and overseeing customer accounts. Responsibilities• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently• Maintain precise records of customer credit• Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions when necessary• Set up vendors in QuickBooks and manage the recording of incoming funds• Oversee the processing of dividend/distribution checks on a monthly/quarterly basis• Prepare balance sheet and income statement• Perform bank reconciliations for all entities• Ensure accurate coding, journal entries and understand intercompany work• Manage the processing of rent checks, with knowledge of reinvestments, distributions, and contributions• Utilize Microsoft Excel for basic needs and QuickBooks extensively for various tasks• Familiarity with Yardi software would be beneficial in managing tasks• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
