Budget Analyst – Contract-to-Permanent Opportunity (Raleigh, NC)
We are seeking a skilled Budget Analyst for a contract-to-permanent position in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role plays a vital part in financial oversight, ensuring effective allocation, monitoring, and execution of program funding. The position also involves maintaining financial records, supporting audits, and contributing to the development of improved grant management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate expenditures and provide data-driven recommendations for leadership.
- Collaborate with agency management at various levels to ensure fiscal efficiency.
- Track and manage budget execution, overseeing funds designated for both Public School Units and state-level initiatives.
- Support audits and financial reviews related to PSU expenditures.
- Maintain financial documentation and records in partnership with program teams.
- Assist in the development and implementation of grant management frameworks to optimize state and federal funding administration.
- Oversee the structured and timely closure of grants as funding periods conclude.
- Provide financial guidance and support to internal teams, PSU finance officers, school district leadership, and program administrators.
- Contribute to additional projects related to PSU funding as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency in 3M software
- Experience with Abila MIP
- Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems
- Knowledge in creating and managing Banner Ads
- Understanding of Business Systems
- Solid grasp of Accounting Functions
- Experience in developing and managing Annual Budgets
- Expertise in Auditing procedures
- Familiarity with Budget Processes
- Competence in Cost Analysis
