This role is pivotal in our industry, where you will be tasked with managing CAD data, CAD drawings, and other relevant file types. The position can be performed remotely, and you will be interacting with Linux and ZFS file systems, dealing with large-scale data storage.Responsibilities:• Efficient management of CAD data storage in Linux, with a focus on handling large and complex files effectively.• Utilization of Ext4, XFS, or ZFS file systems, commonly used in Linux for efficient handling of large files.• Management of Networked Storage (NFS, SMB, or CIFS), necessary for shared access across multiple machines.• Overseeing RAID Configurations to provide redundancy and performance improvements for large-scale CAD operations.• Coordinating storage locations, including local storage (SSD or NVMe drives for fast access) and Network-Attached Storage (NAS) or Storage Area Network (SAN) in a collaborative environment.• Ensuring Backup & Version Control through Git for CAD (e.g., Git-LFS for large files), Nextcloud or OwnCloud for self-hosted cloud solutions, and rsync & cron jobs for automated local backups.• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.• Maintaining accurate customer credit records.• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action as necessary.
