We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Call Center Specialist in Columbia, Maryland. As a Call Center Specialist, you will be an integral part of our team, providing support to our customers in a retail banking setting. Your primary duties will involve processing customer applications, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities :
- Efficiently manage a high volume of inbound calls, providing courteous and detail oriented customer service
- Facilitate the transfer of funds between internal and external accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Process and dispatch necessary documentation via email or fax in compliance with company policies
- Direct calls to the relevant internal departments for further assistance when necessary
- Assist in the opening and closing of various deposit and savings accounts, adhering to all relevant procedures
- Provide knowledgeable support for consumer loans, addressing client questions and resolving issues
- Open and service various types of deposit accounts, maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Provide information and support for promotional activities, keeping customers informed about current offers
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to banking products and services to ensure a positive customer experience
- Refer customers to appropriate specialized banking services such as investments, loans, and trust services
- Promote and sell bank products and services to contribute to branch goals.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center or customer service role
- Proficiency in using computer programs and CRM software
- Familiarity with customer service software
- Ability to answer and manage inbound calls effectively
- Proven experience in assisting customers with queries and issues
- Knowledge of certificates of deposit and collateral management
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Experience with wire transfer procedures
- Ability to provide sales support in a retail banking environment
- Strong relationship management skills
- Experience in personal banking and handling new accounts.
