We are looking to bring on board an interim Chief Financial Officer at our location in Chicago, Illinois. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with various teams and manage significant financial initiatives. As a CFO, you will be required to exhibit strong expertise in GAAP and non-profit accounting, as well as demonstrate proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and operations. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and is fully on-site. Responsibilities:• Collaborate with the Facilities Committee to develop and execute multi-year capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans.• Ensure accountability for timelines and budgets for various projects, including new construction and facilities maintenance.• Leverage ERP systems for financial and operational management.• Support both top-down and bottom-up budgeting and forecasting processes, providing clarity and accuracy in financial planning.• Reconcile cash-in and cash-out flows systematically, aligning with organizational policies.• Manage banking relationships and oversee activities such as wire transfers and EFTs to ensure secure and timely transactions.• Foster transparency and cooperation across departments to align with the organization’s educational goals and financial strategies.• Act as a key advisor and partner to various teams, such as the Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, HR, IT, Facilities & Construction, educators, and staff.• Provide actionable insights to enhance the organization’s financial stability and resource allocation.
