We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Cloud Engineer in Ewing, New Jersey, United States. The role is within the IT industry and it includes administration of cloud services, server management tasks, data security measures, network infrastructure upkeep, and support to the IT team.
Responsibilities
- Administer cloud services including Azure VMs, App Services, and VNETs.
- Perform server management duties such as monitoring, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Deploy and maintain both internal and external applications, ensuring correct configuration of licensing and authentication methods, including single sign-on and Active Directory.
- Implement data security measures, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Optimise and maintain network infrastructure and interconnectivity between office locations and cloud resources.
- Maintain onsite networks, Wi-Fi, and security systems.
- Manage security solutions, including endpoint protection and compliance monitoring.
- Maintain and apply configuration and security baselines in cloud environments.
- Participate in root cause analysis of system issues using tools like PRTG, Azure Monitor, and Azure Log Analytics.
- Provide after-hours support, responding to system alerts as necessary.
- Act as Tier 2 support, assisting DevOps and Development teams as required.
- Proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch is essential
- Demonstrable experience with Amazon EC2
- Strong familiarity with Ansible is required
- Experience with Atlassian Jira is beneficial
- Knowledge of Auto Scaling is necessary
- Ability to handle API Development tasks
- Proficiency in Automation techniques
- Expertise in AWS Technologies is required
- Familiarity with Backup Technologies
- Experience in Cluster Analysis is advantageous
