We are in search of a Collections Representative to join our team as a remote contractor based in the Pacific time zone . In this role, the Collections Representative will be mainly responsible for managing and resolving outstanding accounts, primarily focusing on hospital commercial and government payors. This role offers contract employment as a Collections Representative and will be conducted remotely.
Responsibilities :
- Handle collection processes for outstanding accounts associated with hospital commercial and government payors.
- Examine and process denials and / or underpayments, ensuring all actions are in compliance with industry standards.
- Respond promptly and effectively to insurance requests for additional information.
- Utilize Epic Software to manage and track customer records and transactions.
- Identify and report on any trends or issues related to assigned payor denials.
- Provide necessary training and support to other team members regarding collection processes and software use.
- Ensure all actions are in accordance with insurance protocols, including TRICARE and NIS.
- Monitor customer accounts regularly and take appropriate actions based on account status.
- Understanding of collection processes and techniques.
- Experience in using Epic software for managing tasks.
- Expertise in handling denials and disputes in a detail oriented manner.
- Familiarity with payors and their requirements in the collection process.
- Ability to manage and track outstanding accounts efficiently.
