Robert Half's Legal Division is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join one of our dynamic in house clients in the Chicago Loop. This role will support the General Counsel and would be expected in the office for a hybrid schedule. ResponsibilitiesAssist in drafting, reviewing, and revising various transaction-related documents, including purchase agreements, leases, closing statements, deeds, and other contractsPrepare and organize closing binders and ensure all necessary documents are executed and properly filedCoordinate and perform due diligence tasks, including title and survey review, obtaining and analyzing zoning reports, environmental reports, and other critical documentsAssist in the preparation and review of due diligence checklists and ensure compliance with contractual obligationsAct as the point of contact between the legal team, clients, and third-party vendors (e.g., title companies, lenders, and opposing counsel)Organize and manage the closing process, including coordinating schedules, preparing closing documents, and managing the transfer of fundsReview closing documents for accuracy and completeness before executionManage post-closing tasks, such as ensuring all necessary recordings are completed, tracking post-closing obligations, and maintaining transaction filesAssist in the resolution of any post-closing issues that may ariseMaintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical files for all transactionsEnsure proper document retention and compliance with company policies and legal requirementsLiaise with internal teams, external counsel, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processesProvide regular updates to the legal team and other relevant parties on the status of transactionsMaintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical files for all transactionsEnsure proper document retention and compliance with company policies and legal requirementsLiaise with internal teams, external counsel, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processesProvide regular updates to the legal team and other relevant parties on the status of transactions
