We are on the hunt for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in Princeton, New Jersey. In this position, you will be tasked with several responsibilities related to employee compensation, benefits, and wellness initiatives. You will also liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of relevant projects.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the maintenance and analysis of employee benefits programs, ensuring their effective operation.
- Provide assistance in the processes related to open and year-round enrollments, including auditing, educating employees, and facilitating communication efforts.
- Collaborate with external salary benchmarking vendor, ensuring alignment of compensation with industry standards.
- Play a critical role in regulatory audits, compliance testing, reporting, and assessments associated with compensation and benefits programs.
- Cooperate with the leave administrator for precise and timely processing, also handling benefit premiums when necessary.
- Support the procurement process for Compensation & Benefits vendors, maintaining a healthy relationship with service providers.
- Perform auditing and payment of Compensation & Benefits invoices, working in tandem with other internal departments when required.
- Provide guidance to internal clients on matters related to compensation and benefits.
- Take part in Regional and Group projects, contributing to the success of broader HR initiatives.
- Offer support to the Compensation & Benefits Manager in a variety of tasks including compensation, employee benefits, leaves of absences, workers compensation, and wellness initiatives.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in managing and executing benefit functions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret compensation and benefits data
- Proven experience in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs
- Familiarity with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations relating to compensation and benefits
- Strong negotiation skills with an ability to effectively resolve disputes and discrepancies
- Proficient in the use of compensation and benefits related software and systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with discretion and professionalism at all times
- Strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
