Contracts Attorney

Salary: $50.00 to $70.00 hourly

We are offering a long-term REMOTE contract employment opportunity for a client based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. We are seeking a Contract Attorney who is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English to join our team. You will be focusing on commercial contracting for our client's core business. You will be handling various contract types including data processing agreements, SOWs, and NDAs. This role requires a skilled attorney with experience in technology industry issues, privacy, and commercial transaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial contracting focusing mainly on the Americas including the US, Canada, and Brazil
• Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts such as data processing agreements, SOWs, and NDAs
• Address technology industry issues as part of your legal duties
• Maintain privacy standards and regulations in all transactions
• Carry out commercial transactions effectively and efficiently
• Function independently and efficiently, taking initiatives and making decisions
• Interact with the general counsel and other members of the department as required
• Utilize your skills in commercial contracts to contribute to the team's success
  
  
  

Requirements

• Must be fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
• Possession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing
• Proven experience as a Contracts Attorney in the technology industry.
• Solid understanding and experience in commercial contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality results under tight deadlines.
• Outstanding negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organizations.
• Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives.
• Proficiency in detail oriented legal research software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to maintain updated knowledge of industry laws and regulations.
