Job Description:
As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in financial operations. You will be responsible for directing various accounting tasks, including financial analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work independently will be essential in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Review: accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review bank statements and other financial records.
- Review: the general ledger by posting journal entries and performing monthly closings.
- Managing/Supporting the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and resolve financial-related inquiries.
- Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Assist with audits and other compliance-related activities.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
