We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the Manufacturing industry, based in New Berlin, Wisconsin. The Controller will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of the company by ensuring all fiscal operations and reporting are timely, accurate, and in accordance with GAAP and other standards. The role also involves designing and implementing systems, processes, and procedures to enhance communication and performance monitoring, as well as partnering with various teams to support internal operations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Develop and implement controls and procedures to protect assets, enhance efficiency, and mitigate risks
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
• Maximize return on financial assets through the establishment of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
• Support achievement of business plans by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
• Lead the development of annual budgets and routine forecasting processes to enable effective planning and decision-making
• Guide financial, commercial, and operational decisions by conducting thoughtful analysis and providing insights for decision-making
• Support Operations/Manufacturing by improving metrics that directly impact key manufacturing value drivers
• Prepare special / ad hoc reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Provide leadership to a team of finance and accounting professionals• Proven experience in a similar role with a minimum of 7 years in the Manufacturing industry
• Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• Proficient in CRM systems for effective customer relationship management
• Solid knowledge of accounting functions, including the preparation and interpretation of financial reports
• Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Extensive knowledge of auditing practices and principles
• Ability to manage and oversee budget processes, including the preparation, analysis, and execution of budgets
• Familiarity with Epicor or similar ERP systems to manage business processes
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles in a manufacturing setting
• Specific experience in manufacturing cost accounting is a must
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills

Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
