Controller

Outstanding company is seeking to hire a Controller with at least 5 years of experience to oversee the financial responsibilities of a growing company. The ideal candidate will oversee financial activities and personnel as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all financial activities including reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee daily financial operations.•
• Maintain and balance the general ledger with accurate and up-to-date entries.
• Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments.
• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques.
• Conduct internal audits to assess financial status.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Complete fixed asset entries and maintain records.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Handle and report all tax responsibilities, monthly and quarterly.
• Work with our current tax accounting firm for financial reporting and tax filings.
• This role demands a strategic business partner capable of influencing key decisions and fostering profitable growth.
• Collaborate with the sales leaders and owners to identify and prioritize sales strategies and strategies that will drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will possess a robust finance background.
• 5 years of experience.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deadline and detail oriented.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
