We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial reporting and accounting functions. Responsibilities:• Oversee and manage all accounts payable and receivable, as well as payroll operations• Perform comprehensive analysis on financial results, trends, costs, and budgets• Prepare detailed and accurate forecast reports for income, expenses, and earnings• Ensure all accounting activities are in compliance with GAAP and, if necessary, IFRS• Prepare and submit tax schedules and returns, ensuring accuracy in corporate income tax compliance• Develop and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve, and document accounting issues• Streamline the close and reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy• Utilize accounting software systems, like QuickBooks, to facilitate accounting functions and budget processes• Apply knowledge in construction accounting to manage industry-specific financial matters• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial information accuracy and compliance.
