What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Robert Half?
Manufacturing client located in Nassau County seeks a hands-on Controller. This diverse role will have you "in the trenches" with all aspects of accounting operations, financial analysis, and process improvement. Along with providing guidance and mentoring to a small team, your job will include responsibility for managing the close process, producing monthly financial statements, conducting periodic inventory counts and analysis, as well as financial planning, reporting, variance analysis, and handling all aspects of internal audit. NetSuite experience and strong Excel skills are highly desirable for this role; previous experience working for a PE backed entity is also preferred. Requirements:
CPA preferred
5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment
Practical knowledge of ERP NetSuite required for this role, Advanced Excel
Responsibilities:
-Administer and prepare the annual capital and operating budgets
-Periodic Accounting closes
-Report to Private Equity participant
-Prepare and or Review and approve monthly internal financial statements
-Prepare monthly financial analysis reports for internal and external users
-Administer all insurance policies
-Maintain a positive relationship with lenders, insurers and benefit program providers
-Prepare or assist in preparation of tax returns and regulatory reports
-Maintain legal and contract files
-Prepare for and assist with external audit
-Special projects as required
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
