Robert Half is partnered with a leading manufacturing company in the New Iberia area in search of a dynamic Controller. The Controller will play a critical role in managing the accounting team, overseeing closing activities, maintaining company accounting policies' integrity and streamlining financial procedures. This role also involves leading departmental projects, staying updated with accounting rules and regulations, and ensuring compliance with debt covenants. Responsibilities:• Direct and manage the accounting team to ensure efficient workflow.• Oversee all closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion.• Transition to percentage completion accounting, implementing new procedures as needed.• Uphold the integrity of our accounting policies, making necessary revisions when required.• Develop and maintain budgets, conducting variance analysis to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.• Establish financial benchmarks across the company to track performance and progress.• Enhance current financial procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.• Formulate a cost management system to effectively monitor and control expenses.• Carry out P& L and tax forecasting to guide financial decision-making.• Lead ad hoc projects, coordinating resources and timelines to ensure successful completion.
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
