We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the manufacturing industry, located in Plymouth, Michigan. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing financial operations, conducting internal audits, and working collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage full cycle accounting operations.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.
- Conduct internal audits and handle reconciliations.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Manage balance sheet and income statement activities.
- Handle some aspects of benefits and payroll.
- Willingness to work interdepartmentally and capable of managing financial operations across two companies.
- Utilize Plex software for various financial operations.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in a Controller or similar role within the manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated expertise in Internal Control procedures and implementation
- Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting, including all aspects of financial statement preparation
- Substantial experience in Budgeting and Forecasting, with the ability to make accurate financial predictions
- Proven skills in conducting and overseeing Audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Knowledge and use of Plex Manufacturing ERP software is a must
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
