Controller

Robert Half is in search of a Controller for our client near Little Rock! The chosen candidate will be a vital part of the organization, managing the accounting department and reporting directly to the CEO. The role is set within the construction industry and will involve a range of duties from maintaining accurate records to leading and developing the accounting team.

This role pays $110,000-$140,000 depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing company!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting department, including AP, AR, cost accounting, and payroll.

• Develop and manage comprehensive accounting reports.

• Use accounting software to pull data and create detailed Excel spreadsheets.

• Manage construction project accounting and cost accounting.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account reconciliations.

• Handle cash management and ensure month-end close processes are completed accurately and on time.

• Participate in the annual budget process and manage budget throughout the year.

• Prepare and record journal entries as needed.

• Work towards doubling the company's revenue by implementing effective strategies.

• 5 years of experience in a Controllership role, ideally in the construction industry

• Capability to perform month end close tasks accurately and promptly

• Experience in preparing and managing annual budgets

• Competency in cash management

• Experience in project accounting
