Creative Director / Contract to Hire

A Robert Half client is seeking a dynamic and visionary Creative Director to lead our talented team of creatives and elevate our brand presence. Based in vibrant Miami, Florida, this onsite role offers the exciting opportunity to shape the visual identity and creative execution across our brand, digital campaigns, and commercial/photo art direction. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of inspiring creative excellence, fostering strong agency partnerships, and driving impactful results.
Responsibilities:
- Creative Vision & Leadership: Develop and champion a cohesive and compelling creative vision that aligns with the overall brand strategy and business objectives.
- Team Management & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Brand Guardianship: Ensure consistent and impactful brand expression across all touchpoints, maintaining brand guidelines and evolving the visual identity as needed.
- Digital Campaign Strategy & Execution: Oversee the conceptualization and execution of innovative and effective digital marketing campaigns, including website design, social media content, email marketing, and online advertising.
- Commercial & Photo Art Direction: Direct and manage all aspects of commercial and photo shoots, from concept development and talent selection to on-set direction and post-production.
- Agency Management: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with external creative agencies, providing clear briefs, constructive feedback, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure creative strategies are integrated with broader business goals.
- Budget Management: Manage project budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and projects are delivered within financial parameters.
- Staying Ahead of Trends: Continuously research and identify emerging creative trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our creative output remains fresh and innovative.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of creative campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reports and insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in creative roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position overseeing creative teams.
- Proven experience managing brand development, digital marketing campaigns, and commercial/photo art direction.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative work across various media.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, photography, video production, and digital marketing best practices.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire creative teams.
- Experience managing external agencies and vendors.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within the travel or hospitality industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the Miami market and cultural landscape.
